Question 1

What is Tangy.chat?

Accepted Answer

Tangy.chat is an anonymous truth exchange for corporate employees and college students. It provides an unmoderated, safe venue to share workplace culture realities, actual salary breakdowns, placement revocations, and call out corporate leadership without fear of retaliation.

Question 2

How does Tangy's Zero-Knowledge verification protect my anonymity?

Accepted Answer

Tangy uses a one-way salted SHA-256 cryptographic hash on work or university emails. The server validates that you belong to the company or university to award a verified badge, but your raw email is immediately purged from memory. It is never stored in the database, making it mathematically impossible to link your real identity to your posts.

Question 3

What is the 'Call The CEO' Hot Seat feature?

Accepted Answer

The 'Call The CEO' feature is a public accountability tracker where employees and students submit open inquiries directly addressing corporate leadership (such as Amazon, Google, or university deans). When an inquiry gathers critical community upvotes, Tangy generates a public inquiry card to hold executives publicly accountable.

Question 4

How does Tangy's salary transparency work?

Accepted Answer

Tangy breaks down tech compensation into four unvarnished data points: Base Pay, Liquid Annual Equity, Joining Bonus, and Real Weekly Hours Worked (contrasting official contractual hours with actual on-the-job hours).

Question 5

Is Tangy.chat free to use?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Tangy.chat is free to browse, post, upvote, and discuss. We also offer an optional Tangy Pro Pass ($4.99/mo) for career builders seeking direct confidential referral inquiries with verified FAANG engineers.
